The chalets of Sea Lodges Ameland really stand out. Not only because of their location but also because of the architectural style. Modern and trendy, yet very much suited to their surroundings. There are five different types. The 4-person Sea Lodge Ameland (NL-9161-47) features one bedroom with TV, a 2-person cupboard bed and a bathroom with shower and toilet. This type also has a veranda and a hammock. The 4-person Sea Lodge Comfort (NL-9161-49) features two bedrooms with TV, a bathroom with shower and a separate toilet. The tall windows on both sides of the lodge make for a lovely, bright space. French doors provide direct access to your veranda. The 4-person Sea Lodge Royal (NL-9161-52) features two bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms fitted with a shower and a toilet, making it perfect for two couples travelling together. The tall windows in the living room let in lots of natural light. There's also a 4-person, wheelchair accessible lodge, which is perfect for people with reduced mobility. This type is called Sea Lodge Special (NL-9161-53). This lodge is situated immediately at the entrance and features an extra wide, electronic front door, special kitchen fittings (the height of the counter is adjustable), two bedrooms (one of which is furnished with two single beds that are adjustable in height), each with an en-suite bathroom with shower and toilet (one of which has an extra wide entrance and a special, adapted shower, washbasin and toilet). This type of lodge can only be booked by people with reduced mobility. Finally, there's the 6-person Sea Lodge Family (NL-9161-55). This lodge features two bedrooms (with TV) and a spacious, open sleeping loft (no standing headroom, to be reached via a steep ladder in the living room). The ladder makes the mezzanine less suitable for small children and elderly people. There's one bathroom with shower, as well as a toilet. The lodges are comfortable, completely and tastefully furnished and feature lots of windows so you can fully enjoy the sun and the surroundings. All lodges feature underfloor heating, a dishwasher, a microwave, a smart-TV in the living room, a Nespresso coffee machine and a (partially covered) veranda with a comfortable lounge set. An ideal place to enjoy until the wee hours after a sunny beach day. The beds are already made for you upon arrival. All beds are single box-spring beds, apart from the cupboard bed, sleeping loft and the two adjustable beds. You can park one car per lodge in the central car park of the holiday park. Other cars can be parked in the public parking lot at the beach (charges apply). The NL-9161-53 is the only type that comes with a parking space adjacent to the lodge.The space within this lodge is suitable for two cots. You can place one baby bed in each bedroom. Bookings with more than two babies are unfortunately not possible.Unfortunately, you can't bring any other pets than dogs (max. 1 per lodge).Barbecuing is allowed within the park. However, we'd like to ask you to have a bucket of water ready for any emergencies. Open fires are prohibited. If you'd like to use a BBQ, you must bring it yourself.

General: Sea Lodges Ameland is a unique, car-free holiday park, which opens its doors in the beginning May 2018. The park is situated within walking distance (1 km) of the sea and the beach, at the foot of the lighthouse, on the most western part of the island. The pleasant town of Hollum is also less than a kilometre away. It has plenty of nice shops, cafes and restaurants. There are also two museums and some art galleries.The holiday park is the perfect place to enjoy the peaceful surroundings. There's a mini shop in the reception area, where you can get some basic groceries. During the school holidays, there's a varied entertainment programme. Children will love the various play areas within the park. The dunes and the beach are literally on your doorstep here. During the summer months, you can enjoy a meal or just relax and enjoy sun, sea and beach at one of the beach cafes. Other activities include going out on the Wadden Sea by boat, seal spotting trips and various water sports. In 2017, Ameland was the only Frisian island to receive the gold Quality Coast Award (which says something about the strong identity of the island, which is expressed in its culture, festivals, events, information and sustainability). In addition, Ameland has had a blue flag for all its beaches for 30 years in a row (refers to the quality of the beach and the sea water).The village of Hollum reflects the history of Ameland well. There are quite a few monumental buildings here, as well as the lighthouse of course. The 55m tall structure is a true beacon for the island. In addition to the beach and the beautiful natural surroundings, there are also plenty of facilities such as a 9-hole golf course and a recreational area (De Aanleg). Ameland, and Hollum in particular, is an ideal destination for all ages, all year round. Unwind in the summer or go for a nice walk on the beach in autumn. There are a variety of hiking and biking routes in the immediate area. The island hosts a wide range of flora and fauna. And it's also famous for its horses. Sea Lodges Ameland is a modern holiday park, situated in the middle of the dunes, within a kilometre from the sea. On arrival or departure days you may enter with your car to load and unload the luggage. The car may only be parked by the lodge if you have a disability (NL-9161-53). Per booking you may park one car in the central parking lot. Any other cars, also those of any possible visitors must be parked in the communal (paid) parking lot. Groups other than families travelling together can only be accommodated upon request. Contact our customer service centre to arrange this. If it's agreed, a deposit of € 100 per person may be required.Groups of youths, meaning all travellers are under the age of 22 (at the time of booking), are not allowed.If there is one older person in the group wherein everyone is older than 22, then this older person must accompany the group at all times.
