General: Het Winkel is a vibrant recreation park in every regard! There are lots of options at the holiday park itself and in the surrounding area, offering entertainment for the whole family! There are various facilities for the kids, such as the large indoor play area, the outdoor swimming pool with an exciting water slide, a variety of athletic fields and the friendly recreation team. And of course there is plenty for the adults as well, such as the wonderful spa, which is the perfect place to unwind after a day of activity, and the restaurant with its pleasant coffee bar. Erve Brookert, a marvellous cultural legacy and national monument situated in the park, is also worth seeing. Winterswijk and environs are perfect for hiking and cycling the beautiful Winterswijk National Landscape. MTB routes are also very popular in this area. Winterswijk's unique setting makes it a wonderful holiday destination. The location close to the German border makes it easy to take daytrips to Germany. For daytrips to Dutch cities, Doetinchem (about 37 km) and Enschede (about 40 km) are well worth a visit.The many facilities, the beautiful location and the wide selection of accommodation options make Het Winkel the ideal holiday park for a wonderful stay.Immediately (17-2-2020) the swimming pool on Cochem is closed due to a defect. In the meantime, guests will have the opportunity to swim at a subtropical swimming pool 4 to 5 km away in Cochem. Tickets for this pool can be picked up for free at the reception. Het Winkel recreation park is located in a beautiful setting and offers options for all ages. A great destination in any season. It’s not allowed for companies to make bookings for employees who will stay with other reason than recreation.
