General: Resort De Woudhoeve is located in Egmond aan den Hoef, at the edge of Europe's most beautiful dune reserve and within cycling distance from the beach and sea. There are many facilities on the park itself, including an open air swimming pool and a recreation lake with sandy beach. In the summer months there is a recreation team. In the immediate vicinity there is the beach (about 15 minutes by bike), and the charming centre of Egmond (4 km) with many restaurants, terraces and shops. The art village of Bergen has festivals (Jazz & Sail, lighted evenings) and art markets. The charming cheese town of Alkmaar with the Waagplein is nearby. There are various terraces and the cheese market. You can also hire a boat and explore the charming canals of Alkmaar. Other excursions in the area include the Beverwijk Bazaar with Chinatown, fairy tale wonderland in Enkhuizen, the steam train from Hoorn to Enkhuizen, and the sea aquariums in Bergen aan Zee or Den Helder. Resort De Woudhoeve is a charming holiday park with detached chalets and many facilities for all ages from swimming pool to snack bar.
