The Tauplitz is also the largest single ski area and, with the Tauplitzalm - Bad Mitterndorf ski area, offers 43 kilometers of slopes from 900 - 1965 meters above sea level on 3 mountains. The ski lift to this ski area is within walking distance from the apartment complex.There is another ski area in Altaussee, the Loser ski resort (approx. 25 km away) with 34 kilometers of fog-free and snow-sure slopes.In summer, the Alpenbad Bad Mitterndorf indoor swimming pool or Lake Altaussee offer lots of swimming fun! The GrimmingTherme in Bad Mitterndorf with 3 indoor and 4 outdoor pools as well as relaxation areas on 5 levels is also worth a visit all year round. Popular excursion destinations are Bad Aussee and Hallstatt (14 and 30 km away respectively).Directly in Tauplitz or Bad Mitterndorf there are plenty of shopping opportunities for your daily needs as well as a good selection of restaurants.
